At the Odyssey of the Mind Regional Competition our two teams not only carried on the Sierra Madre tradition of success, they surpassed expectations by winning the competition in their divisions.  Both teams will travel to Sacramento for state competition.  Regional competition was especially difficult this year as it consisted of teams from the L.A. Basin such as Temple City, Arcadia, Whittier private schools as well as other district schools.

Coach/parent Bob Anderson’s 7/8^th grade team members are Calista Anderson, Sarah Meeks-Clark, Peter Coe, Asya Hollins, Alexander Mercier, Connor Murphy-Boyd and Meaghan Paschall.

Coach/teacher Lucy Chaparian’s 3/4^th grade team members are Brianna Sanderson, Brett Richey, Gabi D’Amico, Maddie Rauhe, Paloma Lamb, Julianna Coe, Zohra LeBlanc with Assistant Coach Lina Sanderson and an honorable mention to Coach Lauritson.
